Use

If you want to use the SAP List Viewerfor the Budgeting Workbench, you may have to carry out specific steps to adjust the display of the line item section.

Note Note

By using the SAP List Viewer layout , you will overwrite the Customizing settings defined for the BWB layout. This will influence the position and appearance of fields in the BWB, that is, the fields and position in the columns, and whether fields are displayed or not.

End of the note.

Integration

The Budgeting Workbench is fully integrated with the SAP List Viewer.

Prerequisites

The following prerequisites apply:

  1. The FM account assignments that you want to have displayed must have been activated in Customizing

  2. You must also have maintained the Field Status Management in Customizing, as this influences the display of fields when you create entry documents (options Hide, Output, Mandatory, Optional).

  3. Also in Customizing, you must have maintained a layout to be used in the BWB.

Features

The standard SAP List Viewer features are available for the Budgeting Workbench:

  • Change Layout: You can hide or display columns, and sort the order of displayed columns

  • Save Layout: You must save the layout using your own identifier/name. You can enter a descriptive text and specify whether this layout is defined as the default (that is, the default settings are switched on).

    Note Note

Please note that you can define only one layout as the default. This default layout will display when you call up the SAP List Viewer. If no layout is defined as the default, when you enter data in the BWB, the layout will be adjusted according to the Customizing settings made, and be displayed according to BWB layout management.

    End of the note.
  • Select layout: The layout is selected via its identifier and the SAP List Viewer is adapted according to its definition.

  • Manage layout: You can change the default settings for the layout, or delete a layout from the list.

Activities

Make the necessary settings as in Prerequisites above. Then switch on the layout in the BWB, by clicking on the menu item   Document   Preview SAP List Viewer.

With the possibility of using the SAP List Viewer layout in BWB, it is important to be acquainted with the following restrictions for the SAP List Viewer, because this layout is provided in addition to the existing BWB layout:

  • You can hide a field that has been defined as mandatory. Nevertheless, BCS checks will guarantee consistency of your documents, and raise an error if they are not consistent.

  • You cannot use a field that is defined as “not used”, since fields are displayed in the SAP List Viewer according to the activation of FM account assignment elements and according to the field status control defined in Customizing. No deviation or constraint will be detected here.

  • The SAP List Viewer layout can be defined as the default. Alternatively, you can decide to define the BWB layout as the default. In this case, if the SAP List Viewer default layout if chosen, this will override any selection of a BWB default layout.
