Perform Sampling

You use this activity to perform sampling on SFC numbers selected in the POD (see Performing Sampling on SFC Numbers).

The sample plan has been defined in Sample Plan Maintenance (see Sample Plan Maintenance).

The following table describes the rule and settings that you can change for this activity in Activity Maintenance:

The following tables describe fields requiring explanation:

Main
Field	Description
SFCs Selected	The total quantity of SFC numbers that were selected in the POD
SFC Group	The unique number assigned to the SFC group that was created
Number/Number	The first number is the sequence number of the SFC group that is displayed. The second number is the total quantity number of SFC groups created and ready for sampling when the Perform Sampling plug-in is displayed or refreshed.
SFC Group	Opens the SFC Group Details screen
SFC Group Size	The SFC group size as defined in the sample plan
Original SFC	The original SFC number that was selected in the POD and inserted into the SFC Group
Qty	The current quantity of the SFC number
Sample SFC	Indicates the ID of the SFC number to be sampled If the SFC number has a quantity of 1 and has been selected for sampling, the value is the same as in the Original SFC column and cannot be changed. If the SFC number has a quantity greater than 1 and has been selected for sampling, a new value shall be provided. The cell behavior depends on the GENERATE_ID activity rule.
Sample Qty	The quantity of pieces to be sampled. If a partial quantity of the SFC number is selected for sampling, the original SFC number is split and the selected quantity is removed from the original SFC number.

SFC	The original SFC number value in the SFC Group
Qty	The original quantity of the SFC number
Sample SFC	Y: indicates that SFC numbers are selected for sampling If left blank, then the SFC number is not a sample Note that for a non-serialized sample SFC number this column is blank unless the entire quantity of the original SFC number is randomly selected to be sampled and thus no split to a child SFC number is required.
