Create and Release SFC
You use this activity to create a shop order and release SFC numbers for the material all at once. The system creates SFC numbers for the materials in the shop order, and places them in queue at the first operation on the specified routing. For more information, see Shop Order and SFC Number.
Note
Create and Release SFC does not support subsequent releases of SFCs on the same shop order. Use Shop Order Release.
If you have defined at least one shop order field as required in Custom Data Maintenance
, you cannot create and release SFC numbers using this activity.
The following table describes fields requiring explanation:

| If selected, the system groups the SFC numbers that you release to the floor into a process lot. POD operators can then reference all the SFC numbers with the process lot number. Otherwise, POD operators can reference the SFC numbers individually by SFC number or by shop order number. |
