This POD allows operators to work effectively in the mobile manufacturing and production environment. The Mobile POD can be used on devices smaller than an iPad.

The system provides the default Mobile POD (MOBILE_DEVICE) that has the following activities:

  • Mobile WIP Processing (MOBILE_WIP)

  • Mobile Data Collection (MOBILE_DC)

  • Mobile Assemble (MOBILE_ASSEMBLE)

  • Mobile Log NC (MOBILE_LOG_NC)

  • Mobile Status Info (MOBILE_STATUS_INFO)

  • Mobile Change Equipment Status (MOBILE_CHG_EQUIP_ST)

Mobile UME Logon

You can launch the SAP ME Mobile POD using the following sample URL:

http://<host>:<port>/manufacturing-mobile/index.jsp?WORKSTATION=<POD Name>

Mobile Theme

You can create your own user interface themes and apply them to your Mobile POD using the POD URL parameters. The system provides the Blue Crystal (sap_bluecrystal) theme by default.

For example, the SAP ME Mobile POD URL with the Blue Crystal theme looks as follows:

http://<host>:<port>/manufacturing-mobile/index.jsp?&SITE=*&WORKSTATION=MOBILE_DEVICE&sap-ui-theme=sap_bluecrystal

You can use the Mobile Visual Identity (sap_mvi) theme. For example, the SAP ME Mobile POD URL with the Mobile Visual Identity theme looks as follows:

http://<host>:<port>/manufacturing-mobile/index.jsp?&SITE=*&WORKSTATION=MOBILE_DEVICE&sap-ui-theme=sap_mvi
