User Status
The user status is a status you enter yourself, which you can set or activate as a complement to the system status. You can define and activate as many user statuses as you want.
You can use the user status to prohibit further statuses. When you define user statuses, you determine which transactions are permitted, which forbidden, and which are not relevant. In addition, you specify the transactions which set or delete a status.
User statuses are combined into status profiles.
To define a user status, proceed as follows:
Create a status profile.
Assign the status profile to an object type.
Define one or more user statuses for the status profile.
Assign business transactions to the user statuses.
Translate the status profile and the user statuses into other maintenance languages.
You define status profiles in Customizing for Funds Management . This provides you with further information. Choose
Having defined your status profile and user statuses, you must then enter the status profile key in the relevant FM area(s). For more information, see the IMG for Funds Management . Choose As soon as a status profile is stored in an FM area, the status profile is activated.
In addition, you can specify that particular user statuses can only be set, changed, or deleted by a particular group of people. To do this, you define authorization keys, which act as the basis for status-dependent authorization checks. To do this, go to Customizing for Funds Management and choose
The standard system includes status profile FM000001 in which the user status BUSP has been defined. This user status prohibits the business transaction “G/L account posting”.
