Background documentationAs-Built Configuration Tabular

You use this activity to view and update actual components in the assembly of a product in the POD (CT514) or outside of the POD (CT515).

You can remove one or more components from an assembly, or replace components in the assembly by adding and removing them (see Removing, Replacing, and Adding Components and Assembly Point (Assemble Components)).

This activity validates the location, reservation, and time-sensitive key attributes before the component material can be consumed by an SFC number (see Material and SFC Number). It supports the consumption of serialized or non-serialized components.

Note Note

You can configure CT515 to behave independently of CT514 by using different activity rule settings.

End of the note.
Rules

The following table describes rules and settings that you can change for this activity in Activity Maintenance:

Rule

Setting

ALLOW_DONE_SFC

If set to TRUE, allows the user to modify SFC numbers that have the Done status

ALLOW_NEW_SFC

If set to TRUE, allows the user to modify SFC numbers that have the New status

ALLOW_REMOVE_ALL

If set to TRUE (default), displays the Remove All Assembled Components action on the Actions screen and allows removal of all components, or an assembled component retrieved with Filter by Component

ALLOW_RETURN_COMPONENT

If set to TRUE (default), displays a button allowing the user to return a component to floor stock when removing it

ALLOW_SCRAP_COMPONENT

If set to TRUE (default), displays a button allowing the user to scrap a component when removing it

DISPLAY_BARCODE

If set to YES, displays the Barcode field on the Add or Remove screen (see Two-Dimensional (2D) Barcode Scanning)

USE_COMPONENT_FILTER

The system displays the Filter by Component field to filter BOM components.

See also COMPONENT_FILTER_REQUIRED and Filter by Component below in this topic.

COMPONENT_FILTER_REQUIRED

If set to TRUE, the user must enter a value in the Filter by Component field before choosing Retrieve.

The default value: FALSE

Fields

The following tables describe fields requiring explanation:

Initial screen

Field

Description

Component State

Displays only components with the specified state in the table

Assembled & Unassembled: Displays both components that have been assembled onto an SFC number and components listed in the BOM that have not been assembled onto the SFC number. Does not include Auto Assembled, Excess or Non-BOM components.

All: Displays components with any state

Assembled: Displays only components that have been assembled onto an SFC number. Does not include Auto Assembled components.

Auto Assembled: Displays only assembled components that have an assembly operation and an assembly data type of NONE

Removed: Displays only components that have been removed from an SFC number. Includes removed Auto Assembled components.

Unassembled: Displays only components listed in the BOM that have not been assembled onto an SFC number. Does not include Auto Assembled components.

SFC

The SFC number of the assembly

Filter by Component

Text to filter BOM components

Example Example

When you enter ABC1 in the Filter by Component field and choose Browse, the system displays all materials whose names begin with ABC1 The component you select displays in the tree or the table.

End of the example.

Material/Version

The material name and version of the SFC number

Routing/Version

The routing and version of the routing on which the SFC number is being processed

BOM/Version

The BOM and version the SFC number is using to produce the product.

Status

The SFC number status

The end unit number of the shop order to which the SFC belongs.

BOM Component/Version

The name of the component and the version specified in the BOM for the SFC number

Actual Component/ Version

The component, version, and state assembled onto or removed from the SFC number. Displayed as a link if the component has not been removed .

Qty Assembled/Required

Qty Assembled: The quantity of the component already assembled onto the SFC number

Note that when the component is a piece on a panel, Qty Required and Qty Assembled indicate quantities for the piece at the location displayed in the Location column

Qty Required: The quantity of the component specified in the BOM for the SFC number

Add

Displays the Add Component screen for the component selected in the table

Remove

Displays the Remove Component screen for the component selected in the table

Note that component state cannot be Unassembled or Removed.

Actions

Displays the Actions screen

Add Component Screen

Description

Component

The component you are assembling onto the SFC number

Location

If the SFC number is a panel, specifies the location of the piece of the panel where you are adding the component

Qty Required

The quantity in the BOM required to be assembled for this component

Ref Des

The component’s reference designator as specified in the BOM

Component Type

Manual: The component was assembled by an operator who entered information about the component in the assembly point screen.

Time-Based: The component was assembled by a resource through time-based component traceability (see Time-Based Genealogy).

Auto: The component was automatically assembled by the system

Alternate: The component assembled was an alternate to the primary BOM component.

Assembly Operation

The operation at which the component is being assembled

Assembly Resource

The resource at which the component is being assembled

Qty Assembled

The quantity that has already been assembled for this component

Qty to Assemble

The quantity of this component you are assembling

Remove Component Screen
