Use

In closing operations in Funds Management, you carry out recurring activities. The order of these activities is determined by business management or technical factors. These activities are usually programs that are executed in background processing. Using the Schedule Manager , you can group, plan and execute regularly reoccurring activities and check the results of these activities.

Integration

The Schedule Manager tool can be used across all components and is mainly used in Accounting. The applications provide programs and transactions that can be included in a task plan (cross application) in the Schedule Manager.

Features

Using the Schedule Manager, you can define complex activity sequences and execute them automatically. You can monitor and evaluate the execution. The following diagram shows the main components and functions of the Schedule Manager. You can find more information in the cross application documentation on the Schedule Manager .

The programs for executing the year-end operations to be included in a task plan are available in Funds Management, for example:

  • Functions for commitments carryforward

  • Functions for budget carryforward

  • Functions for balance carryforward fund

The individual programs available are offered when you create a task. Call up input help (F4) for Program and enter the application PSM-FM.
