Master Data Governance for Material enables you to monitor and control the creation, editing, and deletion of material master data.

Below you find a simplified sample workflow for material creation or change. The workflow follows the request from the business user who triggers the change request, to the master data expert (usually the Master Data Steward) who reviews the change request, back to the business user who may need to make changes, and finally back to the master data expert for final approval. Following this workflow the system will update or create the appropriate material master record.
