Manual Replication by Object Selection

You can use this Web Dynpro application to quickly replicate business object data from the Master Data Governance (MDG) hub to target systems that you select.

You can complete the following tasks:

For all business object types, you can replicate a list of business objects
You can search for the business objects you want to replicate before including them in the list. You can also directly specify their IDs.
For some business object types, you can replicate all business objects with specified relationships
There are multiple selection options. For example, you can specify suppliers with leading relationships that are valid until next Friday.

You typically use this application to respond to one-off requests for the replication of specific business objects.

Prerequisites

You have configured the data replication.
For more information, see Configuration of Data Replication.
You have defined the necessary authorizations. For more information, see the documentation on the authorization objects DRF_ADM and DRF_RECEIV.
If you wish to use external data replication filters, you have defined filter criteria.

Procedure

Complete the appropriate tasks for the replication option you want.

Replication Option	Tasks
Replicate a list of business objects	In the Business Object Type dropdown menu, choose an entry that represents a business object type, for example, Business Partner. In the Business Objects to Be Replicated table, enter business objects for replication, with or without the help of a search.
Replicate business objects with specified relationships.	In the Business Object Type dropdown menu, choose an entry representing a business object type and its relationships, for example Business Partner Involved in Relationships. In the Business Objects to Be Replicated table, specify relationships that the business objects to be replicated must fulfill. Example You can request the replication of business partners that fulfill the following criteria: The relationship is of a specific type, for example “is contact person.” The specified relationship stays valid until a Valid To date. Replicate a list of business objects

In the Business Object Type dropdown menu, choose an entry that represents a business object type, for example, Business Partner.
In the Business Objects to Be Replicated table, enter business objects for replication, with or without the help of a search.

Replicate business objects with specified relationships.

In the Business Object Type dropdown menu, choose an entry representing a business object type and its relationships, for example Business Partner Involved in Relationships.
In the Business Objects to Be Replicated table, specify relationships that the business objects to be replicated must fulfill.
Example
You can request the replication of business partners that fulfill the following criteria:
- The relationship is of a specific type, for example “is contact person.”
- The specified relationship stays valid until a Valid To date.

Select or deselect the following conditions for the replication.
- Apply Object Filter Criteria
  You can apply the filter criteria you have configured for the replication of this business object type. After you apply this setting, the system only replicates business objects that fulfill the criteria.

- Test Run Only
  If you select the Test Run Only checkbox, the system does not send data to the target system when you choose the Replicate button. Instead, the system only shows the data that would have been replicated in the data replication log.
Select target systems in the Target System Selection table.
Replicate the business objects by choosing the Replicate button.
Display the replication log by choosing the Display Log button. For more information about the replication log, see Display of Object Replication Logs.
