You can use Installation Manager to install, update, or uninstall the entire SAP MaxDB software package or individual software components, and also to create, upgrade and delete databases.

You can use Installation Manager to easily and quickly perform a preconfigured desktop installation. However, you can also choose the expert mode and adapt the default parameter values - such as database size, memory size, number of CPUs, log settings, and the automatic start of the database - according to your requirements.

Installation Manager also guides you through the updating of your existing SAP MaxDB software and databases (upgrade).

You can select options to create a demo database together with the software installation and, if desired, fill it with the example data used in the documentation. This enables you to reproduce step by step the examples shown in the SAP MaxDB documentation and to obtain similar results.
