Conflict Processing

Use

Conflicts can occur during the synchronization process between Offline Travel Expenses and SAP R/3 if a trip is changed offline and in R/3 at the same time.

Principles

Online/Offline conflicts are processed as follows:

An R/3 trip will not be overwritten if it has been changed in R/3 since the last synchronization took place.
The offline user is informed about the conflict and has the option of forcing the changes, or copying the R/3 status of the trip into the offline application.
Note in this context, the approval of trips takes place in the same way as for other changes.

If a conflict occurs, you can display the trip affected as follows:

Trips that were changed offline can be displayed by clicking on the start date.
Trips that were changed in R/3 can be displayed by choosing the conflict icon

in the status column. Conflict Cases

The following situations may lead to a conflict:

	Changed in R/3	Deleted in R/3

Deleted Offline	Conflict	No Conflict

Conflict: Offline trip changed, R/3 trip changed
When you display the R/3 trip you can choose which version you want to use.
Two buttons are provided for making this choice - Adopt R/3 Version and Adopt Offline Version

Conflict: Offline trip changed, R/3 trip deleted
When you display the trip in R/3 you can either decide to also delete the offline trip (Delete Offline Version), or to recreate the trip in R/3 (Create Trip in R/3).

Conflict: Offline trip deleted, R/3 trip changed
When you display the trip in R/3 you can decide to keep the R/3 trip (Adopt R/3 Version) or to delete the R/3 trip (Adopt Offline Version).
