The main steps for installing the SAP HANA Live Authorization Assistant are as follows:

  1. Setting up a software site

  2. Installing the plug-in for the SAP HANA Live Authorization Assistant

Prerequisites

  • You have installed the following software:

    • SAP HANA Appliance Software Support Package Stack 08 revision 82 or higher

    • SAP HANA Live for SAP Business Suite 1.0

    • Install SAP HANA Live Authorization Assistant

    • _SYS_REPO user should have SQL Execute privilege REPOSITORY_REST with Grantable to others option selected

  • You have replicated the tables USRBF2, UST12, and AGR_1016 from the ABAP— based system where you want to create the authorizations.

Procedure

  1. In the SAP HANA Studio, choose Start of the navigation path Help Next navigation step Install New Software... End of the navigation path.

    An installation window opens.

    Note Note

    If SAP HANA Live Authorization Assistant is already installed, then to update the tool, click Start of the navigation path Help Next navigation step Check for Updates. End of the navigation path The Available Updates pop-up displays. Select Analytics Authorization Assistant and click Next. Review and confirm the updates and click Next. Accept the licence and click Finish.

  2. Enter the URL of the software update site http://<HANA Server Host>:80<SAP HANA Instance Number>/sap/hba/tools/authInformation published on non-SAP site in the Work with field.

    The installation window now lists the SAP HANA Live Authorization Assistant as available software in the list of plug-ins.

  3. Click Add... to save the URL for easy retrieval.

    The Add Repository dialog box opens.

  4. Select the plug-in for the SAP HANA Live Authorization Assistant from the list of available plug-ins. Retain the remaining default selections and clickNext.

    Note Note

    The two available plug-ins are Analytic Authorization Assistant and Analytic Authorization Assistant — Metadata. If the user does not want to enter new metadata and only generate analytic privileges with SAP delivered metadata, then you require only Analytic Authorization Assistant plug-in.

  5. A review window opens where you can verify the information you entered. Click Next.

  6. The License Agreement window opens. Review the licenses and click I accept the terms of the license agreements. Click Finish.

  7. The Installing Software dialog box opens, where you can view the installation progress.

  8. A warning message appears stating that the software contains unsigned content. Click OK.

  9. After the installation is complete, a verification box opens asking you to restart SAP HANA Studio. Click Yes.

  10. Restart the SAP HANA Studio to view the Analytics Authorization menu in the menu bar.
