The audit universe is the collection of auditable entities in your enterprise. Auditable entities within the audit universe can be classified as department, function, or Line of Business, and can be customized to suit your needs.

The entities you plan to audit determine your approach to conducting the audit. You can link related entities from PC and RM to the auditable entities (for example, risks, processes, controls, etc.)

When you identify whether an entity represents a risk to the ongoing operations and long term goals of your organization, further assessment and prioritization of this potential risk within the audit universe can be determined.
