Before you approve a request, you must review the Roles/Profiles tab.

The Roles/Profiles tab displays the following information:

Items

Description

Checkbox

Green box with a checkbox means that the approver can click the green checkbox icon to reject or remove a role from the request.

Red box with an ‘X” displays if the role is rejected on the request and the current approver is allowed to change the role status.

Gray box with a checkbox means the approver cannot change the status of this role from the request.

Gray box with ‘X’ means that the approver cannot accept the role after a previous approver has rejected it.

System Type

Can be an SAP or a non-SAP system.

System

The system in which the role is being requested

Role/Profile Name

Click the name of the role or profile to view more information about it.

Type

Can be single, composite, or template. This is displayed as an icon.

Role/Profile Description

Describes the role/profile.

Valid From

Date from which the role is valid. The approver can change the validity dates if the box is green.

Valid To

Last date for which the role is valid. If the left box is green, the approver can change the validity dates.

Superuser/ Owner

Name of the role approver or of the superuser coordinator if this request was for a superuser ID. Only the lead approver is listed on this screen.

Action

Describes the action to be performed:

  • Choose the ADD action to have the role or profile added to the user

    Dates: when using Add you can modify the Valid from and Valid to dates.

  • Choose the Keep action to have the existing role or profile remain.

    Dates: when using Keep you cannot modify the role assignment Valid from and Valid to dates.

  • Choose the Remove action to have the role or profile removed from the user.

Dates: when using Remove you cannot modify the role assignment Valid from and Valid to dates.

To add a role, choose Select Roles.
