Collective Purchase Order: Example of Selection and Scheduling  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Starting Point

A collective purchase order is generated for existing warehouse orders. In the example, only items for the article "chocolate" are included from the various warehouse orders that exist. Each of the warehouse order items has several schedule lines. For simplicity, the system only displays the date without the time.

The following table shows the warehouse order items with their schedule lines and the dates the system calculated for generating the deliveries. For the sake of simplicity, we’ll assume that the date on which the deliveries are generated is the delivery date minus 2 days for all schedule lines.

The following schedule applies in the receiving site for the article "chocolate".

A collective purchase order is generated on 05.10. and has the following data:

Results

Purchase orders 1 and 2 are included, because the delivery generation dates of all the schedule lines are during the procurement period. Purchase order 3 is not included, because the delivery generation date of the second schedule line is after the end of the procurement period.

As a result of the interval between the schedule lines, potential schedule line dates for the collective purchase order of the article "chocolate" could be as follows:

09.10., 10.10. and 11.10

These dates are now assigned to the warehouse order schedule lines based on their delivery generation dates. The quantities are aggregated accordingly.

The actual schedule line dates for the collective purchase order item result from the potential schedule lines dates minus the goods receipt processing time (1 day).
