A candidate document is a document with an item that has potential to be linked to an item in a planning document, so as to create a cross-docking decision.
You can create a cross-docking decision by establishing a link between a planning document item and a candidate document item.
For more information, see Creating a Cross-Docking Plan.
Candidate documents can be inbound/outbound deliveries or transfer requirements.
In the planned cross-docking process, if the planning direction is Inbound to Outbound, the outbound documents, which contain items to be fulfilled from the inbound documents, are the candidate documents.
