Function documentationConfiguration: Employee Self-Service (WDA) in SAP NWBC for HTML Locate this document in the navigation structure

With this function, you make the necessary settings for using the Employee Self-Service (WDA) role in NetWeaver Business Client for HTML.

Integration

Depending on the system landscape used, the Employee Self-Service (WDA) role requires individual applications or reports from remote systems. This is the case in particular with reports (system alias SAP_BW, SAP_BI). In this case, you have to create system connections. For more information, see 5.10 Remote Systems.

In most cases, the name of the system connection matches the name of the system alias, but specific connection attributes can be attached (_RFC, _HTTP, _HTTPS). For most of the ERP NWBC roles, the connection type is H.

This role contains the following system aliases:

  • SAP_SRM

  • SAP_EREC_TALENTMANAGEMENT

Activities

Perform the following steps for the configuration:

  1. In case you are using the NWBC Client-based setup, install and configure SAP NetWeaver Business Client.

For more information, see SAP NetWeaver Library and choose Installation and Client Configuration.

    Note Note

If you do not use the NWBC Client-based setup, you can use the browser-based SAP NetWeaver Business Client for HTML instead.

    End of the note.
  2. In this section of the documentation, make yourself familiar with the information given, and perform all required settings and configuration steps required for ESS (WDA) in SAP NetWeaver Business Client for HTML:
