Function documentation Recipient Matrix in the Allocation Table  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

This function provides you with an overview of the distribution of several allocation table items to recipients, for single and generic articles. You can also use it to process planned quantities for recipients.

Prerequisites

·        To be able to change planned quantities for variants of generic articles you must have created the variant items for the generic articles.

·        In Customizing, you can make settings for the recipient matrix display.

For more information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Logistics - General under Merchandise Distribution Allocation Allocation Table General Settings for Allocation Table Application.

Features

·        In the recipient matrix, the system displays the planned quantities of all recipients for single articles or variants of a generic article.

You can display the following in a recipient matrix:

¡        One generic article with all its variants and recipients and the planned quantities for them

¡        Several single articles – also different categories (for example, the prepack article) – or variants of generic articles with all their recipients and planned quantities.

Example

You plan distribution of related articles to your stores. To ensure that approximately the same quantities of articles are delivered to the individual stores, you can display an overview of the planned quantities of these two single articles for each store.

·        You can change planned quantities for individual recipients and transfer your changes to the allocation table without performing a check, or you can have the system perform a check and you can then make any changes that are necessary.

¡        You can have the system check your changes and adjust planned quantities, for example, on the basis of an existing rounding profile. The system displays the recipient matrix again with the changed planned quantities.

¡        You can transfer your changes without checking the planned quantities. The changed allocation item might then be incomplete, as, for example, the cumulated planned quantity of the recipient might not correspond to the complete planned quantity of the allocation table item.

Note

In the allocation matrix, you cannot add new recipients (stores or distribution centers), new articles or variants of articles to an allocation table.

·        You can display and process distribution as a matrix or list and can switch between the display modes at any time.

·        Depending on your Customizing settings you can change the matrix display, for example:

¡        Exchange the X and Y axes

¡        Display article numbers or the article short text

¡        Change the sort sequence of articles

·        You can double-click on a node in a recipient matrix to display additional information for the node on another screen.

Depending on the article category, the system displays information such as the following:

¡        Article number

¡        Variant-structuring characteristics

¡        Customer number of the recipient

¡        Components of structured articles

Activities
