Function documentation Inventory During Opening Hours (Receipt-Based POS Inbound)  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

You can use the receipt-based POS inbound interface in the SAP ERP system to determine POS transactions for an inventory during opening hours.

Prerequisites

In Customizing for the Inventory, you have chosen the Use Buffered Data for Receipt-Based POS Inbound option for the Control of POS Data Transfer setting under Enhancement: Control of Store Inventory.

Features

Determination of the POS transactions (sales or returns)

If you use the receipt-based POS inbound interface in SAP RetaiI, the SAP ERP system contains all required data. The system saves the POS transactions together with the receipt-based transaction time at the checkout to the database table WSTI_POS_EVENT. They can then be used at count time for the calculation of the book inventory.

During determination of POS transactions for a physical inventory of an article, the system also includes the POS transactions of the single articles of this value-only article. Additionally, an inventory for an article that is a component in a sales set also includes the POS transactions of the sales set (provided that closure is executed for the sales set in a logistical run).

Note

Note that you must use the R_SRS_PI_DELETE_POS_EVENTS program to execute regular updates of the WSTI_POS_EVENT database table.

Restriction

During determination of the POS transactions, the system does not check whether any additional, unposted POS transaction IDocs exist in the system with receipt-based sales data. The system uses the successfully posted IDocs only for the calculation of the book inventory at count time.

Caution

Before you start the calculation, you should ensure that all relevant POS transaction IDocs have been posted in the system.
