The clinical documentation offers tools for designing and using electronic documents.

Various document forms are supported:

  • Structured documents (parameterized medical documents, PMD)

A PMD is a structured form document. You design the dialog, print display, and input checks yourself and can adjust them to suit the workflows within your departments.

  • PC documents for integrating text processing systems

The content from the SAP basic documentation or of the structured documentation is transferred here via a defined interface into a text processing system or another PC application. This data is then available for further processing. The resulting PC documents are managed and saved in the SAP system and can be called there. The Wordcontainer document category application integrates the processing of Word documents into the clinical documentation. With the document category application DTA you can use any editing program which is installed on the user's PC for text processing.

  • Pure display document

These document category applications are used to manage received documents (see Document Communication). The document category application XML manages and displays structured data in XML format. The document category application PDF manages documents in PDF format.
