Defines a set of interfaces for data that is classified as transaction data or master data (attributes, texts, or hierarchies). When implemented, the interfaces enable the access to data for reporting/analytics purposes as well as for mass data replication.
The ODP interfaces are currently implemented in the search and analytics model, where a node with its analytic properties defines an operational data provider. In the implementation for BW DataSources, ETL is supported implicitly using the replication properties of the BW DataSource.
To support the TransientProvider interface, an operational data provider can be related to other semantically-connected operational data providers via relations that define foreign-key dependencies.
