A change state has the same validity as the change master record with which it was generated. Therefore, a change state can have date validity or parameter effectivity:
· Date validity
A change state's validity is only dependent on the date. All change states come in chronological sequence. A change state's validity period starts on the change master record's valid-from date with which you generate the change state and finishes immediately before the valid-from date of the change state following. If no change state follows, a change state's validity is open-ended.
· Parameter effectivity
A change state's effectivity depends on criteria you can freely define in the change master record. The change states do not have to be in chronological sequence. So the system can determine whether a change state is effective, you have to assign values to the effectivity parameters.
