You can use this process to group together external candidates that you want to delete from the Talent Pool and then delete them. In this way, you can remove undesirable candidates from your Talent Pool to clean up the Talent Pool. Undesirable candidates could be candidates that have registered their details under an alias, for example, or who have not updated their data for a very long time and have not responded to corresponding requests to update their data.
You can assign candidates to a talent group from numerous candidate lists. This process describes only one of the possible methods to assign candidates to a talent group.
You have access to a talent group, in which external candidates whose data is to be deleted are grouped together. You must be assigned to the relevant support team.
You have access to the backend system, as the deletion of the candidates is executed using a deletion program that can be called, for example, using Customizing for SAP E-Recruiting.
1. On the recruiter's portal page under Recruitment, you choose the Candidate Search service.
2. The Candidate Search dialog box appears.
3. You use suitable criteria to search for candidates that you want to delete from the Talent Pool.
4. The system displays the hit list.
5. You select the candidates to be deleted and choose the Assign / Assign to Talent Group function.
This function is also available on other candidate lists of SAP E-Recruiting.
6. The Talent Groups dialog box appears. This contains all talent groups for which you are a member of the support team.
7. You select the talent group in which the candidates to be deleted are collected and then select an unlimited assignment of the candidates to the talent group.
8. You choose OK.
9. The system assigns the candidates to the selected talent group.
10. The candidates are deleted from the Talent Pool using the program to delete candidates. You can call this program in the Implementation Guide (IMG) for SAP E-Recruiting under Tools → Delete External Candidates. On the selection screen of the report, you use the talent group as the selection parameter.
The program takes into account any legal deadlines that have to be observed in accordance with the Customizing settings for deleting candidates.
11. The system deletes all of the candidates’ data.
The candidates’ data is completely deleted from the Talent Warehouse. The candidates can no longer be found in the Talent Pool and can no longer use the Talent Warehouse services.
