Use
Under Controls in Customizing for sites, you can define in which storage locations goods receipts are to be posted. You are advised to use a different storage location for each processing method.
If you do this, each storage location corresponds to a particular area of your distribution center. The storage location for putaway could be a high rack storage area, and the flow-through storage location could be a repacking zone in your distribution center, for example. If you use an optimizing processing method, a goods receipt item is usually split
among two storage locations.Example
The example illustrates dividing stock among two storage locations for optimized handling. The following assignment for the method and storage location currently exists in Customizing:
