To provide the KM recent notifications in the Universal Worklist (UWL) Notification tab, checked-out documents under Tracking, and documents for approval under Tasks from a provider system, you need to configure the connection to that system and register it as an item provider. Therefore, you have to specify the WsActionInboxConnector as the connector for this connection.

Procedure

  1. In the portal, navigate to   System Administration   System Configuration   Universal Worklist & Workflow   Universal Worklist – Administration  .

  2. Choose New.

  3. In the System Alias field, enter the name of the alias for the provider system as defined in the system landscape. The length of the name cannot exceed 25 characters.

  4. Select WsActionInboxConnector for Connector Type.

  5. Leave the Delta Pull Channel Refresh Period (in Seconds) field empty or enter a negative value in it, because this connector does not use the Delta Pull mechanism of the UWL.

  6. Save your entries.
