Use

You use this procedure to create new development objects in the Repository Browser.

Procedure

...

       1.      Select the corresponding object node and choose Create from the context menu.

A dialog box appears.

       2.      Enter the name of the new object.

Note

Note that all repository objects in the customer namespace begin with Y or Z.

       3.      Choose Continue.

The system checks whether or not an object with that name already exists in the SAP system.

       4.      Enter the information requested and choose Save.

The Create Object Catalog Entry dialog box appears.

       5.      Assign the object to a package.

For more information, see Assigning an Object to a Different Package.

       6.      Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text to confirm your entries.

Result

An inactive version of the object is created in the repository. When you assign an object to a development class, it is automatically linked to the transport and correction system.

Note

Alternatively, you can create the development objects from the initial screen of the corresponding tool.
