Procedure documentation Selecting an Object  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

You use this procedure to select existing development objects in the Repository Browser for further processing.

Procedure

...

       1.      On the initial screen of the Repository Browser, choose the type of object list you want from the object list selector.

       2.      Enter the name of the object in the entry field.

By default, this field is filled with the name of the last object that you have processed. If you want to see a list of objects you have recently used, choose the button This graphic is explained in the accompanying text and select the required entry.  

Note

Step 2 does not apply if you have chosen Application Hierarchy in step 1.

       3.      Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text with the quick info text Display or press ENTER.

The requested object is displayed in the object list tree.

       4.      Double-click on the required object.

The object appears on the screen in display mode.

Note

You can open the object in a separate session by choosing Display ® In New Window from the context menu.

       5.      To switch to change mode, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text with the quick info text Display <-> Change from the application tool bar.

Result

You have opened a development object and the Object Navigator calls up the development tool associated with the object.

Note

In each tool, you can use the Other Object button to select another object for editing. If, for example, you have opened an include in the ABAP Editor, choose Program ® Other Object to choose another include or another object or component.
