Integration Functions in the BEx Broadcaster 

Use

The BEx Broadcaster and the broadcasting wizard enable you to precalculate and broadcast queries, query views, Web templates, reports, and workbooks.

Features

Your broadcasting options are broadcasting to the portal, broadcasting by e-mail, and printing.

When broadcasting to the portal, the precalculated documents or the links to online reports are stored in Knowledge Management.

For links in Knowledge Management, it is important that you select Online Link to Current Data as the output format (see Precalculating and Broadcasting Query Views, Web Templates, and Reports).

If you select Broadcast to Portal as the distribution type, the Target in Portal tab page is displayed. Under File Name, you can select a KM folder using the input help.

The authorization user requires the relevant write permissions to be able to generate the document or the link. An iView with KM folder is displayed in the input help.
