The file of read data is transferred to the file of converted data during migration.

Prerequisites

The data must have been read.

Procedure

The data must have been read.
  • In step Convert data, choose Execute. This starts the process.

You want - probably for test purposes – to convert a part of the data only:
  • On the General Selection Parameters screen, select the volume of data to be converted.

  • Specify your data selection in the From/To Transaction Number fields. You have the option of selecting transaction numbers several times.

Result

The data is converted. The data conversion program issues a log. To display the converted data at a later time, choose step 12:   Display Converted Data   Execute  .

Note Note

If you marked one or several source fields as selection parameters when defining them, these fields will be offered as selection parameters as well.

If you are using a wildcard in the file names of the input files and you defined at least one value for the wildcard, a selection parameter for the wildcard will be displayed as well. If you do not make an entry in these fields, all the wildcard values defined are processed.

The system first checks if the data conversion program is still up to date. If not, the program will be generated automatically.

End of the note.
