As of Release 4.0, you can use Secure Network Communications (SNC) to secure RFC and CPI-C connections. SNC protection applies to the start and registration of external server programs. For more information, see Network Infrastructure in section Secure Network Communications (SNC).

Caution Caution

We strongly recommend the use of encrypted SNC for security reasons. Sensitive data such as passwords or credit card numbers are visible in function module interfaces.
