The graphic below shows the roles and tools in the Web Page Composer scenario.

In step one of the Web Page Composer scenario, authors create articles in the article editor. Editors then use the page editor to add articles to Web pages. In the final step, site owners add Web pages to the site navigation. Once the Web pages are visible in the portal, visitors can navigate to them and read the articles.

 

The table below gives an overview of possible roles and their tasks.

Site owner

      Administrating the main navigation structure of a Web site

      Creating Web pages or delegating Web page creation to editors

      Creating Web content or delegating Web content creation to authors

      Creating subordinate Web sites and then delegating the administration of entire subtrees in the navigation structure to other users

Site owner for a subordinate Web site

Site owners for subordinate Web sites have all of the permissions and carry out all tasks of a site owner for a specific subordinate Web site.

Editor

      Creating and editing Web pages

      Creating new Web content or reusing Web content contributed by authors

Author

      Creating Web content in shared folders
