Converting MIME Objects into BSPs

Use

You use this procedure to convert text MIME objects of type text (text/html, text/plain and so on) into dynamic pages for a BSP application. After being imported into the SAP system by WebDAV, these objects are stored in the application directory of the MIME Repository. If you want to use them as dynamic pages in your BSP application, you must convert them into BSPs.

Note

This procedure is applicable if you create new pages for your BSP application in an external Web development environment. Make sure that no name conflicts occur because the system uses one and the same name for the MIME object and for the BSP page.

Procedure

1. Start the Object Navigator (transaction SE80) and open the MIME Repository.

2. In the application directory of your BSP application, choose the MIME object to be converted.

3. In the context menu, choose Convert to BSP.

Result

You have converted a MIME object into a BSP with the same name. The object is deleted from the MIME Repository and added to the object list of your BSP application.
