Setting Default Characteristics 

Use

Whenever you display classifications of objects without specifying which characteristics you want to look up, the system displays the default characteristics.

This holds true for both the Repository Browser (Display ® Classification) and for transaction SCLAS, where you can leave the input fields for the characteristics empty.

Procedure

The default characteristics are part of the individual ABAP Workbench settings. To change the default characteristics, proceed as follows:

...

       1.      In any Workbench tool, choose Utilities ® Settings.

       2.      Choose the Development Coordination tab.

       3.      On the Classification tab, choose the Change Default Classification pushbutton.

A browser for characteristics appears.

       4.      Do one of the following:

                            a.      To make a characteristic a default one, select the checkbox before the name of the characteristic.

                            b.      To make a characteristic visible in the list view (in the column next to the name of the characteristic), double-click the icon in front of the characteristic.
