Use

Until now, users could only select one language to be used to filter the search results. It was not possible to filter by multiple languages.

SPS 10 enables administrators to use the configuration of the default search dialog box to define another language, other than the portal logon language of the user who is currently logged on, to be used to filter the search results. You can also define that all available languages be taken into account. When searching, users can change the default setting in the search options and select the required languages for a search themselves.

Note that you can only filter using the languages that were selected and installed during the installation of TREX.

 

Effects on Customizing

You must change the configuration of the default search dialog box in order to use the advanced function. You have to include the new search_language component in the search components set and change two parameters in the configuration of the search options.

You can restore the previous language selection function if you wish. To do so, undo the changes described above.
