2 SAP Gateway Hub SystemLocate this document in the navigation structure

Prerequisites

Make sure that the following system prerequisites are fulfilled:

  • You have an SAP Gateway hub system where software component IW_FND 250 is deployed. For more information, see SAP Gateway Installation Guide. If your SAP Gateway hub system is based on SAP NetWeaver 7.40 or higher, the component SAP_GWFND is installed as standard and includes the functional scope of IW_FND.

  • Your backend system has to be registered as an SAP system alias in the SAP Gateway Implementation Guide (IMG) on your SAP Gateway system. In addition, an RFC destination has to be defined in transaction SM59. We recommend establishing a trusted RFC connection to the backend system.

  • A dedicated user exists with the relevant authorizations.

Connection Settings

To make sure that the connection settings between the backend system and the SAP Gateway hub system have been set up correctly, enter transaction SPRO and navigate to the following activity in the SAP Reference IMG: Start of the navigation path SAP NetWeaver Next navigation step SAP Gateway Next navigation step OData Channel Next navigation step Configuration Next navigation step Connection Settings Next navigation step SAP Gateway to SAP System Next navigation step Manage SAP System Aliases End of the navigation path. Register your backend system on the SAP Gateway hub system. If necessary you can also add a new system alias. See also Creating the SAP System Alias for Applications.
