Functional Overview

Time Management enables you to manage an employee's working times, absence times, time credits, and approvals for working times. Laws, collective agreements, company policy, and company regulations determine which time accounts must be set up. Time Management can be used to:

  • Check personnel times

  • Create statistics

  • Allow flexible working times

  • Satisfy time-recording responsibilities required by authorities and company's own employees

Collections are objects that hold other objects that are accessed, placed and maintained under certain set of rules. This section lists the collections for Time Management and the rules enabled for each collection.




The Activity type collection provides details of the activity produced by a cost center, and is measured in units of time or quantity


The Cost Center collection provides details of the defined location of cost incurrence.

The Cost Center is an organizational unit within a controlling area that represents a defined location of cost incurrence. It identifies the cost center that is debited along with the employee's personnel costs, and that is credited by an activity allocation in the activity allocation master/sender cost center scenario


This collection provides the details of the order number assigned to the employee


The Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) ID collection provides details of a concrete task, or a partial task of the employee


The Time Recording collection provides the details of the time recording of an employee such as the beginning and end of working times or breaks.
