Register the SAP Gateway Data ModelLocate this document in the navigation structure

Note

Follow the procedure provided below for assigning:

  • EDPs to a SAP Gateway Data Model (in case of simple scenarios where EDPs act as data providers).

  • Data providers to a SAP Gateway Data Model (in case of complex scenarios).

Assigning Data Provider to a Data Model
  1. In transaction SPRO open the SAP Reference IMG and navigate to: Start of the navigation path SAP NetWeaver Next navigation step SAP Gateway Next navigation step Former Development Next navigation step OData Channel Development without IW_BEP Next navigation step Registration  Next navigation step Assign Data Provider to Data Model  End of the navigation path and click the Activity icon.

  2. Choose New Entries.

  3. Define the data provider implementation via the following attributes:

    Fields

    Description

    Model Identifier

    The ID of the SAP Gateway Data Model.

    Type

    Data provider implementation type:

    • (Adaptation) Data Provider — Default setting

    • Composition Data Provider — Composes different Models

    • Multi Destination Composition Data Provider — Composes data from several backend systems

    Note

    Currently only (Adaptation) Data Provider type is supported.

    Software Version

    The software version supported by the data provider implementation.

    This is only needed for (Adaptation) Data Provider and Composition Data Provider. The software version is defined via view /IWFND/V_COCCOL (Common List of Codes for SAP Gateway) for Code Type Software Version for Instance Manager.

    Note

    If there is only one data provider for a model, use Software Version DEFAULT.

    Class/Interface

    Name of the ABAP Class of the data provider or an EDP.

    Description

    Explanatory text.

  4. Save your settings.
