Hub OData Channel without IW_BEP

Recommendation

If you want to use OData Channel on the hub, we strongly recommend you install software component IW_BEP on your SAP Gateway hub system. For more information, see Hub OData Channel with IW_BEP.

In SAP Gateway entities are defined and connected in data models. These data models can be exposed as OData services. The runtime processing of these OData services are handled by the data provider classes (DPC). Each data model based on the software version is assigned to a data provider. The runtime processing of entities defined in a data model are handled by Entity Data Providers (EDPs).

Make sure that the following system prerequisites are fulfilled:

You have an SAP Gateway system. For more information, see SAP Gateway Installation Guide.
On your SAP Gateway system you have installed the additional software component IW_FND 250.
For your administrator, developer and user you have created the corresponding roles with the correct authorization templates. For more information, see Developer, User and Administrator Authorizations.
