Functional Overview

By using the Leave Management service you can perform Leave Request functions in any device or platform like Mobile, Collaboration, Social Networks, Groupware Integration and Portals.

Prerequisites
Employee Time Account

The Employee Time Account is used for managing an employee's working times, absence times, time credits, and approvals for working times. The Laws, collective agreements, company policy, and company regulations determine which time accounts must be set up.

Time accounts can be used to:

  • Check Personnel times

  • Create Statistics

  • Allows flexible working times

  • Provides Leave recording responsibilities required by authorities and company's own employees.

F4 Help Support Fields

The Leave Management application provides F4 help for the following values:

  • Leave Item Type Code

  • Leave request status Code

Messages
  • Error Message : Could not get employee personnel number from SAP system

  • Meaning : The SAP User ID may not be assigned to a personnel number (permr). Collections

Collections are objects that hold other objects that are accessed, placed and maintained under some set of rules. This section lists the collections for Leave Management and the rules enabled for each collection.

Description

EmployeeTimeAccountCollection

This collection provides valid and deductible time accounts for an employee.

EmployeeAllowedLeaveRequestTypeCodeCollection

This collection provides the permitted attendance and/or absence reasons for an individual employee.

RequesterNoteCollection

The requester for leave can enter a note explaining the need for the requested leave. This collection provides details of the requester's note.

ApproverNoteCollection

The approver can approve or reject the absence and can enter a note explaining the decision. This collection provides the details of the approver's note.

LeaveRequestCollection

This collection provides the details used by an Employee to inform an approver of a leave request or update/cancellation of a leave request and depending on the business scenario.

LeaveRequestLifeCycleStatusCodeCollection

This collection provides details of the current status of the employee's leave request.
