Procedure documentationConfiguring Access to SAP HANA Data

 

While users launch apps from the SAP Fiori launchpad on the ABAP front-end server, the analytical business data and the KPI definitions are stored in the SAP HANA system. To enable users to view the information they want, you must ensure that access rights are given for both the SAP HANA system and the ABAP system.

Procedure

For apps that are launched by using an app launcher tile, perform the following tasks:

  1. Synchronizing SAP HANA Database Users

  2. Assigning Roles for Accessing SAP HANA Data

  3. Creating Analytic Privileges

For apps that are launched by using a KPI tile, perform the following tasks:

  1. Synchronizing SAP HANA Database Users

  2. Assigning Roles for Accessing SAP HANA Data

  3. Creating Analytic Privileges

  4. You can additionally perform the following tasks:

    1. Modeling KPIs

    2. Configuring Targets for KPIs
