Close TU
You can use this action to set the Loading Completed
status for a transportation unit (TU). If you do so, the system carries out the following tasks:
The system checks whether all outbound delivery orders that are assigned to the TU are completely loaded.
If they are, the system sets the status.
If loading is not complete, because, for example, a pallet is damaged or stock is missing in the warehouse, then all delivery items and handling units (HUs) that have been loaded onto the TU receive an item or HU assignment to the TU. This happens regardless of whether they were loaded by setting the loading status or if they were loaded by warehouse task. The system also deletes the outbound delivery order header assignment of the relevant delivery. This means that the outbound delivery order header is only indirectly assigned to the TU by its items or handling units, and the outbound delivery order can be used in planning again. If all the items and HUs were assigned before you chose Close TU
, then the assignments simply remain. If loading has not started yet for a particular outbound delivery order, the system unassigns the entire outbound delivery order from the TU and it becomes available for planning again. All existing loading warehouse tasks for HUs that were not loaded are canceled. Note that in the transaction Maintain Transportation Unit
there is a feature called Finish Loading
and this works differently; here, the loading warehouse tasks would be confirmed.
The system sets the Loading Completed
status for the TU.
As outbound delivery order item information is aggregated and shown for each outbound delivery order in the planning view, the system adjusts the aggregated delivery data to reflect that some items have left the warehouse.
