With the help of an overview or a set of statistics, you can get an aggregated picture of the short dumps stored in the ABAP system.
Note For those users who do not have authorization for the cross-client dump analysis, the ABAP dump analysis is client-specific. This means that the dump selection and the statistics refer solely to short dumps from runtime errors that have occurred in the client you are logged on to.
Overview
You create an overview in order to get a list of all runtime errors that have occurred. For each listed runtime error, you can see how often it has occurred. In addition, from the overview you can display a list of the corresponding short dumps.
You have the following options for creating an overview:
- In the main menu, choose or
- Select the
icon from the toolbar.
- On the initial screen, you can define selection criteria to limit the total number of stored short dumps for the overview operation.
The overview itself is displayed as an accumulated list of all short dumps that match the selection criteria; they are grouped according to category and name of the runtime errors.
Note From the overview screen, you can open the list of the corresponding short dump by double-clicking the name of the runtime errror. From here you can also double-click the short dump in question to open the corresponding long text.
