Authorization for Long Text Display

This authorization check ensures that only authorized users can see the long texts of short dumps. To this end, the system checks certain values of the authorization object S_DEVELOP.

If the user does not have this authorization, the ABAP system displays only very abbreviated information on the ABAP runtime error that occurred. This information enables the administrator of the ABAP system to identify the corresponding short dump using transaction ST22 and to display this for problem analysis.
