Time Slot Management
You can use this function to create time slots for a loading point and change their capacity. You define the fixed duration of the time slots in the master data of each loading point. Each time slot has a capacity, which indicates the maximum number of vehicles that can be loaded or unloaded at the same time in the time slot.
You can also use this function to delete future time slots in the textual view.
You must create time slots for a loading point to be able to create loading appointments for the loading point.
You have created loading points for your warehouse. See Loading Points.
You define the working time of the loading point by creating time slots with capacity for the loading point for the relevant time. You set the capacity for each time slot, according to the circumstances at that time. For example, during lunch time, you may not have enough staff available to load or unload as many vehicles as at other times, so you can set a lower capacity for that time slot.
When you create time slots for a loading point, you must enter the start date of the first slot. If you create time slots for a loading point where time slots already exist, the system determines the next date without slots.
If you are working on the graphical view, you can set the capacity for the time slots in one day and copy it forward to the next day. Once you have created the time slot capacity for a week, you can copy it forward for the next number of weeks.
When you copy the time slot capacity to other weeks, the system identifies days in those weeks where the loading point is not available, for example, public holidays, using the factory calendar assigned to the loading point. The system automatically sets the capacity of those days to zero.
You can change the capacity of time slots for a loading point. If you are working in the graphical view, you can set the capacity for the time slots in one day and copy it forward to the next day.
You can delete all future time slots for a loading appointment after a certain date. If you want to delete time slots in the future that already have loading appointments associated with them, you must cancel the loading appointments.
When you delete time slots in the future, you must delete all the slots up to the last created slot, so that you can begin slot creation at the date from which you started deleting slots.
If you want to delete a loading point, you must delete all the time slots and appointments for the loading point.
