Function documentationAutomatic Wave Creation for TUs

 

The report /SCWM/R_TUDLV_AUTOPLAN_TU creates waves automatically for the outbound delivery orders that are assigned to transportation unit (TU) activities. The following options are available:

  • Determine a wave template for the delivery items assigned to the selected TUs. Based on the determined wave template, the items are assigned to an existing wave. If no matching wave exists yet, the system creates a wave based on the determined wave template and assigns delivery items to the new wave. The resulting waves do not necessarily contain only items from a single TU.

  • Determine a wave template and assign all delivery items of the TU to that wave. If multiple templates are determined, the system creates multiple waves and assigns items accordingly. Delivery items from the same TU are all included in the same wave.

You should run this report as a background job.

The protocol is written under the object /SCWM/SHP_RCV when the report is run.

Prerequisites

  • You have created wave templates and set up determination for delivery. You can do this on the SAP Easy Access screen for Extended Warehouse Management underStart of the navigation path  Work Scheduling Next navigation step Wave Management Next navigation step Maintain Wave Template End of the navigation path and Maintain Conditions for Determining Wave Template.

  • You have created TU activities with assigned outbound deliveries.

  • The user who runs the report has at least the authorizations of the user role /SCWM/SO_CLERK or /SCWM/EXPERT.
