Use

You use the Profile display to get an overview of the trace. You use it to sum up identical event types, group them together into event groups, and to build classes of groups. This creates a multilevel event hierarchy. Execution and net times are added together. However, gross times cannot be added together. Alternative profiles allow grouping of events according to packages, components, or programs.

Features

For each entry in the Profile tree, the following information is provided:

  • Profiles

    Name of the item grouped in the profile

  • Selection

    The checkbox allows you to select different profile items to filter the hit list accordingly.

  • Number

    Number of calls of one event group.

  • Net [µs]

    Summarized net time for all events of one event group.

  • Net [%]

  • Other Profile

    To toggle between profiles, choose ( Switch Hierarchy). You can choose between the following profiles:

    • Trace Events

    • Packages

    • Components

    • Programs

  • Display Subarea

    You can choose one or more nodes from the tree and display it in another tool to view more detailed information. Select ( Display Subarea) for this.A dropdown box appears in which you can choose one of the following:

    • Display Subarea in Hit List Tool

    • Display Subarea in Times Tool
