Personalization

The shipping cockpit uses the standard Web Dynpro personalization features. You can access personalization by choosing the personalization icon in the application or in individual screen areas.

The following personalization options are available:

  • For the whole screen, you can change how screen areas are shown (one-column, two-column, and so on) or hide them from the display entirely.

  • For the search area, you can save a search using the Save button.

You can then set the search as your default search in personalization, so that this search automatically opens on startup. You can also set your default search to run automatically on startup, but this is not recommended, as it could lead to your application hanging if you accidentally entered a default search that returns too many results.

  • For the trees in Shipping Cockpit - Planning and Shipping Cockpit - Execution, you can use personalization to create sets of columns (views) that you want to display.

If you have more than the standard view, you can then switch between different views using a dropdown field above the trees.

Enhancements

The shipping cockpit has several possibilities for modification-free enhancements. You can add or remove buttons and screen areas, enhance the displayed data with your own by adding new columns to the trees, and perform additional actions before or after standard actions. Navigation

You can navigate from the shipping cockpit to several other transactions and applications. The following starting points for navigation are available:

  • Fields in the tree views marked as navigable (different color and underlined)

The corresponding maintenance transaction is opened with the current object, for example, transaction Maintain Transportation Unit when clicking on a transportation unit number.

  • The Related Links button in the global toolbar

You can jump to several other applications. No object is opened in the target application

  • Launchpad in the side panels

For more information, see Using Side Panels.

Navigation is highly customizable. For more information, see SAP Note 1902754Information published on SAP site.
