You can use the Change Vehicle Appointment
(asynchronous) inbound operation to request changes to a vehicle appointment.
A planner for a retail warehouse uses an application to modify appointments for inbound transportation units. First, the planner wants to see the vehicles that are scheduled for the next day, so he or she executes the Find Vehicle Appointment by Elements operation, using the next day's date as the search criterion. He or she gets back a list of the vehicles scheduled for that day and also a list of the IDs of assigned transportation units.
As a next step, the planner updates the transportation unit appointment and the vehicle appointment with the new information using the Change Vehicle Appointment
.
You can use the asynchronous Notify of Vehicle Appointment Change outbound operation to inform a third party about changes to vehicle appointments.
