Preparation for Loading or Unloading
You can monitor and work with freight bookings that arrive from SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM). Freight bookings contain the information needed to prepare for loading or unloading in transit warehousing. For example, the freight booking contains the information about the freight space reserved on a ship or an aircraft.
To access the Prepare Loading or Unloading
screen, in SAP NetWeaver Business Client choose .
You can navigate from the freight booking in SAP Extended Warehouse Management (SAP EWM) directly to the freight booking in SAP TM.

You can navigate from the freight booking to any corresponding freight orders that exist in SAP EWM.
The transportation planning has been performed in SAP TM, and the freight booking has been transferred to SAP EWM.

You can search for freight booking in the Prepare Loading or Unloading
screen.
You can navigate from this screen to the individual freight booking.
You can monitor the status of all the freight bookings that meet your search criteria.
For example, you can search for all of the freight bookings in a date range, and see the status of each freight booking in the results list.
You can monitor the process of single freight bookings with the progress indicators.
In each freight booking, you can see the HU containers and TU containers that were planned for that freight booking in SAP TM.
You can see the TUs that are already planned in the freight orders.
You can unload HUs from HU containers that have been received into the warehouse
You can indicate that the unloading is completed for these HU containers.
Note that you cannot receive HUs from TU containers in the Unloading Preparation
screen. HUs that arrive in TU containers must be received individually in the Process Single Freight Order
screen.
If more HUs than you are expecting arrive in a HU container, you can create new HUs in the system and receive them.
If fewer HUs than you are expecting arrive in a HU container, you can mark a HU in the system as lost. The system sends this information to SAP TM when you set the status of the HU container to Unloading Completed
.
You can assign doors to expected TU containers.
You can set the statuses Arrived at Door
and Departed from Door
.
You can indicate that the contents of a TU container or a TU can be unloaded or are not to be unloaded.
This block can also be set in SAP TM. You can override the SAP TM block in the Unloading Preparation
screen.
You can create the TU containers and HU containers for the freight booking.
You can create warehouse tasks to move the transit HUs to a work center or staging area, where they are to be loaded.
You can load transit HUs into HU containers or TU containers.
You can indicate that loading of the HU container or TU container is complete.
You can assign doors to TU containers.
You can set the statuses Arrived at Door
and Departed from Door
.
You can print the HU labels for the HUs.
You can indicate that a TU container or a TU is not to be loaded.
This status can also be set in SAP TM. You can override the SAP TM status in the Loading Preparation
screen.
