Function documentationSide Panels in Transit Warehousing

 

Using side panels in the context of transit warehousing, enables you to display additional context information on demand in the applications for the following screens:

  • Process Freight Orders

  • Handling-Unit Stock List

The side panel content can be enhanced and adjusted with minimal effort to suit your needs.

Prerequisites

  • You have activated the following business functions in transaction SFW5:

    • Business Context Viewer Main Application (/BCV/MAIN FND)

    • Business Context Viewer Main Application 2 (/BCV/MAIN_1 FND)

    • Business Context Viewer NWBC Side Panel (/BCV/NWBC_SIDEPANEL FND)

  • You have activated the BC set Configuration for Business Context Viewer - Shipping Cockpit (/SCWM/SR_SCO_BCV).

  • Your user has the authorizations of the role /SCWM/BCV_USER.

  • If you want to use example content for measurement services in the area of transit warehousing, you have activated BC set Measurement Services for TW in Sidepanel /SCWM/TW_BCV.

  • If you want to set up your own content for the measurement services, you have defined it in Customizing for Extended Warehouse Management under Start of the navigation path Monitoring Next navigation step Measurement Services Next navigation step Define Side Panel Content for Measurement Services End of the navigation path.

Features

You can configure the side panel content to display additional information. For example, you can configure the following information:

  • The number of open warehouse tasks to move handling units (HUs) to the clarification zone

  • The number of today's confirmed warehouse tasks to move HUs from the clarification zone to the warehouse

  • The gross weights of HUs in dedicated storage sections

  • The number of received and delivered HUs for today

The content makes use of measurements service definitions set up in Customizing. For more information about measurement services, see Analytics.

The side panel uses BCV context key /SCWM/MS (Generic Measurement Services). The following are the context keys for the content configuration using measurement services Context for Measurement Services in Side Panel:

  • /SCWM/TW_FO (Freight Order in Transit Warehouse)

  • /SCWM/TW_SL (Handling-Unit Stock List in Transit Whse)
